The shocking news of the loss of this Shining Son of Zimbabwe, so young, so talented, so full of promise, and already roaring to worldwide fame, has left the HIFA team and all Zimbabweans reeling in shock, sorrow and dismay. That we had lost this very special young man in the prime of his life, was difficult news to absorb, and seemed unreal, unbelievable, and so very, very tragic.

All of our hearts go out to Oliver Mtukudzi, Zimbabwe’s fondly loved and very famous singing star, whose beloved son was set to follow in his shining footsteps all the way to the top, and to all of the family, as we share with them a terrible and most untimely loss. Our sympathies are also extended to Sam’s many friends and peers in the music profession.
