This is an appropriately named show which deals with the gamut of human emotions told through communication via letters between an English housewife and various members of a small village community in Zimbabwe. It is variously hilariously funny and tear-jerking as we see the problems they all experience from the simple basic human needs of food, shelter, education and clothing to love, laughter, compassion and courage.
The multi-talented actors and actresses transport us between a posh flat in London to a bare village in rural Zimbabwe with great skill. Be prepared to laugh, cry and gasp. It was certainly emotive and very well acted with evocative use of the body and minimalist use of the props that clutched the audience’s hearts lifting the visor of cynism revealing the different realities of people’s lives.
If you have the chance, go and be absorbed and emerge shaken and stirred.
