HIFA 2010 has arrived and is now officially in full swing! The Nugget Global Quarter is proving to be a continual bustling hub of activity from craft and fashion to art, poetry and live shows the venue is the heart of HIFA.

The HIVOS poetry cafe is the perfect chill-out zone, the Global Stage plays host to some of the most intimate shows of the festival which today Alexio and the Young Producers Project are set to shatter with a fun, funky show. Redress is taking place on Sunday which is bound to showcase the talent and creativity of young and experienced local designers. If you are into the smell of incense you can find out about the tall dark stranger at the Smoke and Mirrors stall. Be sure to visit the Cancer Association of Zimbabwe and find out how you can make a difference.

The unique, colorful and diverse stands are certainly the main attraction of the Global Quarter. The amazing African inspired works are a celebration of African culture, and being a self confessed shopoholic I have to admit the jewelry collection is everything a girl could dream of- who said diamonds are my best friend?
