Setting the Musical Pulse of the Festival on ZOL Main Stage

14 June 2015

ZOL Zimbabwe supported the main stage at the 2015 edition of the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA) - the first year that ZOL has partnered with HIFA to bring this iconic venue to the Art-loving public.

In addition to bringing the ZOL Main Stage to audiences at HIFA 2015, ZOL Zimbabwe also provided FREE Wifi coverage for the entire Festival site using ZOLspot.

Key features of the FREE ZOLspot were as follows:
1.      Fast and reliable, 5M upload speed and 1M download per person
2.      Mobility in movement across different sections of the park without dropping network.
3.      Wide Coverage on the entire HIFA site
4.      One click log in process.
5.      FREE!

ZOL Zimbabwe allowed HIFA patrons to experience the world of Wi-Fi  during HIFA through their ZOLspots. HIFA patrons were able  to connect to any ZOLspot for FREE! at any of the HIFA venues allowing them  access to their favourite websites ….Facebook, Twitter, Google, Instagram…. and access e-mails .  Another plus… was the ZOLselfie Competition. Competitors were required to take photos (selfies) of themselves or with friends ( even better… a special somebody) and post  onto the ZOL Facebook wall (facebook.com/ZOLconnect). They could also post it on  Twitter with the hashtag #LiveLikeThis. Winners  won amazing prizes which included free internet, an ipad Air, dongles and a holiday for the group selfie winners. Their friends were also able to vote for their favourite selfie through Instagram allowing them to follow us on ZOLconnect.

HIFA and ZOL are in perfect partnership with HIFA being the largest international cultural event in Southern Africa,  and ZOL being the largest ISP in Zimbabwe. This partnering has allowed ZOL to successfully execute its Corporate Social Responsibility whilst contributing to growth of the brand and the bottom line.
