CABS Delighted to Once Again Partner HIFA for CABS Day and CABS Opera Gala

21 March 2018

Address by Mr Mehluli Mpofu, CABS Deputy Managing Director at the launch of HIFA 2018’s CABS Day.
“ It is an honour and privilege to announce yet another partnership between CABS and HIFA.
The HIFA 2018 edition is already gearing up to be a momentous and memorable event in the history of the festival.
Since its inception in 1999, the festival has exceeded all expectations on and off the stage, through the work of performers; writers; directors; artists; and designers.
As CABS, we are proud to be associated with this festival of art and culture that has continued to transform lives in Zimbabwe and across the continent.
We are delighted to once again host the Opera Gala night which has become an integral part of the festival. The CABS Opera Gala showcases an evening of stunning and strong voices of internationally renowned Opera stars, mixing humour with theatrical drama and exquisite singing.
We understand that HIFA is about giving artists an opportunity to showcase their talent, but more importantly celebrating our love for the arts and humanity as a nation.
CABS is one of Zimbabwe’s largest mortgage lenders and we have been servicing the nation for over 70 years. Over the years, we have been instrumental in the financing of low cost housing projects and we are happy to announce that we have begun selling serviced stands in Bulawayo’s Pumula South suburb. It is our responsibility to participate in community development housing projects and to date we have successfully delivered projects in Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, Kwekwe, and Gweru. As CABS we remain dedicated to the communities we serve and committed to the financial wellness of all Zimbabweans.
We are aware of the cash challenges that our country is facing and in a bid to make the country cash lite, we have always advocated for the use of alternative channels for transacting which are Point of Sale machines, mobile banking, mobile app, and internet banking. These are faster and more convenient. We are happy to announce that, our POS machines will continue to be used to facilitate payments throughout the festival.
I wish to convey our appreciation to the directors, management, employees and volunteers who have made it possible for us to once again enjoy the great festival that HIFA produces.

Finally yet most importantly, we would like to thank our customers for their continued support, because without them, there would be no us.

Enjoy HIFA this year.

Thank you.”
