Lyrical tenor Jochen Kraus is a member of the Munich Philharmonic Choir, and the Bavarian State Opera’s Choir as well as directing his own vocal ensemble in Munich.

 

His HIFA programme celebrates the music of Creole/British composer, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and includes his Six Sorrow Songs, Op. 57 (1904), Songs of Sun and Shade (1911) and Onaway! Awake, beloved! from Hiawatha's Wedding Feast, Op. 30 (1899), songs by Beethoven and Schubert as well as by American and German composers of the 20th and 21st century.
